Join us for a meet and greet with author Kristina Montague! More about Montague’s debut Jump In:

Kristina Montague, managing partner of JumpFund, a women-led startup investment fund

investing in female founders, is excited to announce the release of her book, Jump In: Women

Investing in Women, Growing Our Capital and Impact.

Jump In tells how a group of women in a mid-sized Southern city saw a need to support female

entrepreneurs, who have historically received only 2% of venture capital, and started the first

gender lens angel fund in the Southeast U.S. Jump In charts the rising tide of women as angel

investors, since JumpFund’s inception in 2013, and profiles other women angel leaders

increasing access to capital for underserved founders. The book also offers a “women’s guide to

angel investing” for those interested in jumping in to invest in the change they want to see in the

world.

“When JumpFund first started a decade ago, Kristina and her cohort faced pushback and the

questions: Why women? Why now?,” shares Heather Cabot, author of Geek Girl Rising and The

New Chardonnay, “The sisterhood shaking up tech in Chattanooga ultimately answered these

queries with results. Their resounding success demonstrates how investing in women drives

both innovation and the bottom line. And perhaps it will inspire you to jump in, too!”

A groundswell of women are discovering the power and purpose of angel investing. Women are

reshaping the conversation in startup investing not only to open doors for other women and

more diverse founders but also to consider a wider lens of companies solving problems that

matter to women. Learn from those who have put their resources to work to increase access to

capital for underserved founders. Gain a better understanding of Gender Lens Investing and the

women behind this important movement. Discover the basics of how to get started as an angel

investor, and how to seed your own group of women investing in women.
